Packlife

Sustainability & certifications

Real sustainability.
Evidence, certifications and measurable data.

Sustainability starts with design decisions. That is why we develop packaging that — depending on its use and the materials involved — is designed for recycling, biodegradation or composting, contributing to a more circular economy.

Cellulose fibre texture of Packlife materials

Designed for recycling

Paper-based single-material structures, designed to support recycling within the paper stream.

Traceable

A documented supply chain, from raw material to production batch, with full management of technical and regulatory documentation.

Verified

Choices backed by objective data: suitability testing, recyclability assessments and compliance with European regulations on food contact materials.

The material

Cellulose-based multilayer.
High performance.
Certified barrier.

Cellulose-based multilayer combines the performance food packaging demands — barriers to moisture, grease and oxygen, compatibility with modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and vacuum skin — while remaining recyclable within the paper stream. Where the application allows, we use plant fibres derived from agricultural by-products.

Every solution complies with European regulations on food contact materials and is designed to preserve the shelf life and organoleptic qualities of the packaged product.

Certifications and standards

Verified compliance with recognised standards.

BRCGSCertified · Grade AA

Certification obtained at grade AA for the brokerage of primary and secondary packaging, food and non-food.

ATICELCA 501Class A recyclability

Not a certification but a measurement: the Aticelca 501 method assesses the recyclability of predominantly cellulose-based packaging. We design our packaging to reach Class A.
