The challenge

Eating a piadina, a sandwich or other filled products while walking or without a surface to rest on can be awkward. Traditional packs often fail to protect the product adequately, do not keep it at temperature and force the consumer to touch the food directly, risking mess, burns and frustration.

During transport, packs must guarantee stability and strength to preserve the integrity of the product right up to the moment it is eaten.

The solution

PIADAPACK is a cardboard container that, when closed, protects the product during transport and can easily be stacked to optimise logistics and deliveries in standard thermal containers or bags.

Once opened, it folds back progressively to become a practical ergonomic support that lets the consumer hold the product without touching it directly. They can then eat comfortably even on the move, keeping their hands clean and reducing the risk of burns.

The structure is made from a single flat blank in food-grade paperboard and incorporates a folding system that allows simple, intuitive and functional opening.
